Media Poll Votes: Post-Week 3
No changes to the No. 1 teams in each classification.
Every week during the Kansas high school football regular season, I submit my media poll votes and share them with my X followers and Railer Report subscribers. Storylines for key rankings decisions can be found below.
Here come the Salthawks!
After a season-opening 7-3 loss to Goddard Eisenhower, Hutchinson has kicked itself into gear with a 43-point win in week two and a 28-23 victory over Maize South last week. The Salthawks have quickly climbed the ranks in 5A, setting the stage for an exciting second half of the season.
What is going on in 8-man?
The parity continues in 8M-I and 8M-II, with West Elk and Little River tumbling in the former and Osborne suffering a significant loss in the latter. Other results prompted major shifts as well, but the top spot remains consistent in both classifications.
Let’s talk about St. James Academy…
As always, the private schools in 4A are tough to calibrate due to their historical postseason success despite lackluster regular season records. However, St. James Academy has done little to inspire confidence, losing by 14 to Blue Valley and by 41 to Bishop Miege. The Thunder stay up… for now.
